Lifestyle accounts for 75% of all deaths in western nations (S.Boyd Eaton, MD, et al. Chronic Degenerative diseases in evolutionary perspective. 1988; Am. J. Med. 84, 739-749) but there is no profit for the government or pharmaceutical companies to have healthier, proactive Americans. Diabetes, Alzheimer's and Heart Disease are estimated to collectively collapse our economy at $1 Trill each to treat (ex: Alzheimer's $203/day to treat x 365 days x 14 million people = $1trillion!) and all can be prevented through lifestyle.
It's your responsibility to change yourself, don't rely on others. Do the following on a regular basis: moderate exercise 20-30 minutes daily; eat 8-10 servings of fruit/veg daily (75% vegs.)-organic if possible; get adequate D3 (2000 units/day has potential to decrease cancer deaths 75% in America and work 5x better than flu vaccine campaign); drink only water, fresh squeezed juice/pomegranate juice, white tea, red wine (resveratrol is great for you) or shakes with undenatured whey protein; get plenty of rest; think positively; take vacations; take a multi-vitamin/mineral; quit smoking; avoid medications/anti-inflammatories; no MSG (has other names too www.truthinlabeling.org); no peanut butter (sorry has carcinogenic toxin on it); use chiropractic for a balanced nerve system and healthier spine; stretch/get a massage/do yoga; laugh!
